A Faster, Flexible, Low-Risk Way to Build Software

Not only is this the starting point for the majority of our software development projects, but this can also be a discrete piece of work.

For us, this is a fundamental starting point for any successful project. Too many projects try and follow a pure agile approach where you start without clarity on the end position. To do this is like building a house without an architectural plan. This doesn’t mean you need to know where every plug and switch of a light bulb will be, it does mean you need to know how many floors and rooms so that your foundations will be strong enough.

Almost without exception, our clients tell us this is one of the most valuable phases of the project. It can help solidify your thought process. We can bring suggestions of different ways to bring functionality to life given our extensive technical, business and software experience.

The relationship was great. We spent a considerable amount of time upfront with the team.

If you truly engage with the team, it allowed the team to understand our requirements and more importantly allowed us to ask questions that enabled the (SCAD Software) team to demonstrate specific functionality to us that otherwise, we may not have considered”.

Our Process

Our typical business requirements process involves two interactive workshops with your team, where we document the current and define the ‘to be’ business processes. We then delve into this to understand the business logic behind the process, the inputs and outputs.
We will also run a workshop on the User Experience fundamentals.
The finished deliverables from this process are:
  • A fully documented set of business requirements that can be used to brief a software development team.
  • A couple of user experience options with visual designs for your team to consider.
